— What we did —

A substantial amount of research went into the early development of creating a digital twin for this Hinckley 35, a virtual model designed to accurately reflect the physical boat. Designed by naval architect, Michael Peters, the Hinckley 35 is modeled in Autodesk Maya and optimized for real-time rendering applications in mind such as webGL via Sketchfab and Unreal Engine Five by Epic Games. Each mesh surface must qualify in order to meet a specific polygon count in order to perform within a real-time 3D environment. Brigade simultaneously develops a high poly / low poly 3D model using traditional best-practice modeling techniques combined with automated methods to achieve a high-quality – low file size – final 3D asset for photo-realistic rendering.

Brigade developed a proprietary product Configurator, ©The Doubler, to help brands from consumer goods retailers to industrial manufacturers create online personalized experiences at scale. Customers can configure their Hinckley and have a comprehensive visual of the configuration. A customer can specify details such as species of wood decking, electronics, or upholstery colors etc. At the same time, the configurator displays a real-time 3D visual on screen. One can create, save, and submit as many iterations as necessary until ultimately deciding on the winning combination.
