David founded The Brigade in 2006, and has served as both CEO and Creative Managing Director since. Thousands of freelancers and business owners use The Brigade to find projects, as well as track and find top talent across the creative industries.
David is fascinated by creativity, in particular how creativity manifests itself in the wide variety of people he has meet or learned about. He has committed his professional life to assembling creative individuals, teams, and networks for the purpose of crafting visual content.
Sean Broughton is a special effects artist with a worldwide reputation for excellence and innovative design. He is well known in the industry as one of the developers of Flame technology as well as his ability to solve the most difficult visual tricks. In 1995, Broughton founded Smoke & Mirrors in London and in 2004 S&M New York.
Sean has collaborated with many filmmakers, including Stanley Kubrick, David Slade, Jonathan Glazer, Spike Jonze, Spike Lee, Daniel Kleinman, Chris Cunningham, Walter Stern, and Joachim Back.
Boaz Livny is a Visual Effects supervisor, Technical Director and author of Mental Ray for Maya, 3D Studio Max, and XSI: A 3D Artist’s Guide to Rendering. He is passionate about photography, and currently specializes in the photography aspects of 3D lighting, rendering, visual effects and compositing for high-end commercial and film.
Boaz also works as a professor for master’s-level and bachelor’s-level courses at SVA Computer Art, Computer Animation and Visual Effects department (BFA) and MFA programs. His classes include advanced Lighting and Rendering, Materials, Advanced Nuke (two-year program he developed for SVA), and Production Skills classes.
